The Mizuno Wave Prophecy running shoe offers an unrivaled running experience. Full-length Infitity Wave replaces the traditional EVA midsole and makes for a super responsive ride and feel. Infinity Wave has the ability to alter in structure based upon the level of pronation present. The cushioning and shock absorption is completely unreliant on midsole foam which will result in increased mileage. Mesh upper with Dynamotion Fit. Small amounts of AP+. Outsole has mixture of blown rubber, carbon rubber and solid rubber. SmoothRide flex grooves create the smoothest transition ever and a harmonious ride. Wt. 13.4 oz.

When I first received the shoes and tried them on I was skeptical as they were very tough and rigid when walking around. The first thing I can say is that these shoes are not made for walking!!! The uppers were a bit tight around my foot when I put on my running socks (Thorlo) but you could not feel any seems or fusion points within the shoe. The rear achilles and heel support is very tough and felt as though they might cause trouble during the run, i.e. blisters. As I started a 10 mile run, distance determined to be enough to thoroughly try out the shoes but not cause any injuries if something were wrong, I immediately felt the push off of the wave plate and it felt great!!! The tightness of the achilles and heel area disappeared as my running form took shape and I had no worries about blisters. I do a lot of gym work and a lot of sprinting. Previously my benchmark was the Asics Gel Kayano, it's a great runner. Before buying my latest pair, though, I decided to try a few different brands, and this caught my eye. At first I was cynical, thinking it was going to be all show no go. I got a shock when I put them on though! They are much more supportive for slight under-pronators like myself than Kayano's, in fact I'd rate them as one of the most stable running shoes I've ever tried. Shock absorption is very impressive, they are light, feel like you are not even wearing shoes, feel fast and are fast. If you take training seriously its worth the money. Since running in these shoes he has had no pain. Although very expensive, they are worth it. True to size.
